use truetype fonts in c++ programs

Hi Dears,
I have a big problem that I couldn't find its solution in the net,
I 'm going to create an application via Xlib and I wanna use installed truetype ubuntu fonts in it,in c++ , but i don't know how can it do it without create them in my source just with show sme text in my created window.

I have a similar issue working with Ubuntu as I was troubled in developing Panda3d using C++ .I retried this with installing Panda3d SDK. I was glad that this at least worked in Python. Please help me fix this with C++.
