I am currently running Kubuntu 11.04 on a Dell Latitude E6520, which has a screen resolution of 1920x1080. I am also using a wide screen monitor (1920x1200) when at work using the clone nvidia setting, and forcing the 1920x1080 resolution so the two match up.

Today I finally did an update for several application for 11.04, included new nvidia, v302.17. Now my second 1920x1200 monitor does not work properly. Previously there was a 1920x1080 option when setting up this second cloned monitor to match the resolution of my laptop. This 1920x1080 option is missing.

I have tried several mods of the xorg.conf file and I still cannot get the resolutions to match. I do not want the panning mode, that would be unusable.

Is there a way to have the nvidia x server settings program allow for the 1080 mode? Do I need to add a metamode? Do I need to add a mode to the monitor parameters?

I would appreciate any help
