Hi,
I have some trouble with remote file system mounting.
For example, I mount a remote smbfs //cs5/public to local /media/public, and then, I switch off my network connection, or somehow, the cs5 server is shutdown.
After this, when I try to navigate the file system, or, running
df -Th, the response would take a long time or hang.
Could someone teach me how to avoid this, in case the remote file system is unavailable?
