ubuntu jokes file

Hi all,

I don't use Ubuntu any more but back when I did use it (7.04/7.10 days) there was some program which had a fish icon in the menu bar which would pick a random joke or Mark Twain quote or something funny from some file and display it. I've searched all over but I can't find the file, and from what I remember there was some good stuff in there. Could someone find it and upload it?

I don't know what the plugin was, but it probably got its content from the fortune program. Install fortune-mod from the software centre and run it from the command line:
fortuneFrom memory, it has a load of command line options to help choose what sort of thing you want from it as well, so it's worth checking:
man fortune
