Today I noticed that the window decoration on my system does not have the glow effect stuff. It's just a plain color. I thought that Ubuntu 12.04LTS had something different. Like in the other picture...

Could you describe "glow effect' better ? Terminal transparency has to be set from Edit > Profile Preferences > Backgrounds .

The top boarder of the window is plain (1 color). In 12.04 LTS, the top boarder of the window is supposed to be 2 shades of the dark color.

The shadow in the title bar does't appear for for me either with 3D graphics. I never noticed because I haven't used Ambiance since installation. Stranger yet is my nautilus looks different than the photo you posted, but your settings may be different.

Is this a bug???

Do mean the way Nautilus appears or the drop shadow ? I don't about the drop shadow . If the screen shot with the shadow is of the current version of the light-themes package there is a difference. The light themes have changed since they were first released.

I guess you could call it a drop shadow. What stuff does the light theme package do?

The light themes package includes the ambiance and radiance themes. I was wondering if the screen shot with the shadow on the title bar was from 12.04 or an older version of Ubuntu ? If it is not from 12.04 that may explain the the difference. If it is then there could be a bug. The ambiance and radiance themes were first released with 10.04 but have been change slightly for each new release.

I see no shadow in 2D or 3D . It may be a bug but I have no idea what to report . I doubt it is the theme but something else are systems have in common. I use a Nvidia graphics card an the Nvidia current driver. I don't use the ambiance theme but it would be nice to see it as advertised.
