Failing kernel 2.6.15-25.43 src build: DEVLIST zddevlist.h

I am looking for the right place to ask questions about how to build the kernel from source. Please forgive me if this is not the right place, but please tell where the best place may be. I have posted at -users, but that doesn't seem like an effective area.

Have you thought about using the 2.6.16 kernel, there is a howto (http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=157560) on building that. There might be some tricks in there to solve your problem as well.
