In my attempt to use mex for compiling in a matlab program, I have been trying to downgrade my gcc into gcc 4.2 or gcc 4.1. However, this does not look an easy proposition. I am using ubuntu 11.10. The machine and the OS both are 32 bits. Also, what if the machine is 64 but the OS is 32? Any suggestions?
