Ubuntu works with my scanner. Following advice, I tried installing iscan. Ubuntu stopped recognizing the scanner (scanimage -L returns "No scanners were identified"). After purging iscan, scanner could still not be found. (Both lsusb and sane-find-scanner show the scanner.) How do I restore default Ubuntu handling of scanners?
