Hello,
I have Uubntu 12.04 LTS with Gnome Classic & Compiz.
Basically I followed this threat to go classic:

Like in this threat:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2010499&highlight=workspaces I have no gnome panel (I only have one at the bottom) if I click on another workspace other than 1.
I have to press
CTRL-ALT-DEL to go back to workspace 1 as well.
Ctrl+alt/up,down,left,right do work fine though.
Another issue I have is with Alt+Tab, I had to enable it in compiz to have it working but it is not showing any preview of the windows and sometimes the window shoosen has the borders blurr.
I just tried in gnome-classic [no effects] and all works fine.
I know what you are going to tell me now... do not use it.
Or is there a way around?
