I'm trying to install a software raid 5 using 4 1TB Drives (I have the os on a stand alone 5th drive).
2 drives formatted to GUID with no probs, however the last two drives (which came from a windows pc in a raid 0 config) will not format. They both return the same error-
Error formatting drive
An error occurred while performing an operation on "1.0TB Hard Disk" (ATA ST31000528AS)
I have attached an image of the errors returned.
Interestingly, the drives appear as they should under the host adapter, however there are 2 2.0TB drives under "periphrasis Devices"?
