I have a new ubuntu installation and I am keen to install packages on it but not the sudo-apt way.
I just want to download packages from packages.ubuntu.com and directly install using gdebi. For this I know I have to deal with several dependencies. So, I need help on how many (& what are they) software(dependencies) I should have pre-installed so as to facilitate further installation without any dependency error.
I need a list of basic dependencies comprising libraries and whatever else.

Another question is that how to download and install packages & dependencies in one go from packages.ubuntu.com

Please help...:o:o:o
