I'm running nativly a KDE desktop shipped with Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. Since a few days it happens sometimes, that the plasma desktop diappears and it looks like the Gnome desktop.
I've had this before, think it was in Karmic. There a 'gconftool-2 --type bool --set /apps/nautilus/preferences/show_desktop false' helped, but it is not now.
Someone knows what's happening here?
