Need help for restoring system files from backup

I backuped my whole filesystem using deja dup . And now i am restoring it , but while it starts to restore after some time its screen goes blank and nothing appears.After that i restored it in different folder then nothing problem arised. Therefore now tell me which filesystem folder i should not restore.I just wanted to get back my old system settings.

I'd start with /home

are you using the same username? If not you'd need to redirect.

for any apps you've tweaked your best of restoring config files one by one - as and when u need them from /ect
