Have you considered Intel or Tyan server boards. They seem to have a pretty good rep. when it comes to servers.

Nice set up.

Will each box have 8 drives in it, or am I just losing my mind...

RAID 1 with 2 drives makes sense. Are you going to be using RAID 1 or 10 on the 6 drives?

The setup is in RAID 1. I already have onsite backup, so I am not worried.

Each server has a RAID1 setup

Server 1: Velocirators in RAID1
The rest of the servers are just RE4s in RAID 1
