I recently upgraded ubuntu from 11.10 to 12.04 x64. Everything seemed to go fine until 3 days later when the system does not boot to a log on screen.

I can use a ctrl alt F1 and log on to a command line and then startx and the system seems to run fine. I would however like to have the system log to a logon.

The only thing I can see in the log is a problem with my wacom tablet. But The system still does not continue to the logon screen even when I remove the tablet.

I have attached the Xorg.log file

I hope someone can suggest what I have to do to fix this.
