Hello,
How can I setup Ubuntu to boot up into a non-GUI login and how can I set gnome as default window manager? At present I have to select it during the GUI Login.
I use a Redhat based system at work that boots up into character mode where I then login as either a user or root, then type startx to bring up Xwindows with a older version of gnome. I want the same on my laptop with Ubuntu.
Thanks,
Jim
