Hi all!
kinda of a new here and hope I'm on the right forum. I'm trying to install iDevice activator and I'm following the instructions from this link (http://www.ifans.com/forums/threads/how-to-compile-idevicerestore-on-ubuntu.298612/), here is where I got stuck even if I've already installed libimobiledevice.
I've as well moved the folder from home to usr/local/lib, but I don't know if was the thing to do...

checking for libimobiledevice... no
configure: error: Package requirements (libimobiledevice-1.0 >= 1.1.0) were not met:

No package 'libimobiledevice-1.0' found

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables libimobiledevice_CFLAGS
and libimobiledevice_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details

any help would be appreciate. Thanks a lot

Hi Dino. thanks for the reply, but I got libimobiledevice installed already... I don't really know what to do and looking around seems that a few people had a issue compiling it. I'm very new to ubuntu and terminal usage do you know if there is any easier way to install something to activate and update my iPhone without iTunes? I can't use it at all now...
Thanks for your time.
