12.04 LTS NETWORK BROWSE error

Just installed 12.04 LTS 64-bit on ASUS K5E laptop. Attempted to execute NETWORK BROWSE and received the following error:

Could not display "network:///".

Error: DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.
Please select another viewer and try again.

Any ideas as to what is wrong and what I can do to correct this? I can use the CONNECT TO SERVER to access the NAS on my network with no problems.

Same problem here. What is strange is that the problem only occurs from a Nautilus window not when the Network option is selected from the task bar.
