I guess there's no fix for this: Gnome Is Annoying Me: "focus follows mouse" Not Working (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2003568). So, what's the "best" alternative? Something that works as much like Gnome as possible, without the brokenness, would be good.

This focus not following the mouse pointer is a show-stopper, for me.

Thanks,
Jim

Bodhi Linux?
Thanks for the suggestion, but I was looking more for just swapping-out the desktop manager for the one machine.

Okay. When at looked at Bodhi early on, it implemented the focus follows mouse really nicely. Maybe you could see if you can have just the Enlightenment DE or whatever it's called.

Bodhi Linux. :)

Or just Enlightenment, or XFCE, or KDE, or Openbox + a panel, or...
Many DE's support this feature.

Okay, found and fixed the problem. Turned out to be my own fault. See the 2nd post, here: Gnome Is Annoying Me: "focus follows mouse" Not Working (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2003568).

Thanks again for the suggestions, all.
