Webcams?

I was wondering if anybody actually knew how to get webcams working on applications like aMSN and Kopete, I can never seem to get outgoing or incoming webcam to work. It's a major set back for me because I absolutely need webcam to work with Kopete or aMSN. My cam drivers install fine, Kopete see's my cam and so does aMSN they just don't send out or recieve webcam from my friends.

It all works in Windows so I have to keep using Windows. Has anybody atually got both outgoing/incoming WORKING?

Yes I have but I experienced lots of problems beforehand, then for some reason I decided to try installing amsn again, and it just automatically worked. Mind you, there's no audio, so we either do without or else Skype it. However, if I was desperate to do videoconferencing, I would have gone with Ekiga or one of those programs.

try mercury messanger. that might work a little better

Did any of you need to configure ports before being able to use webcam?

I had port 1863 open and forwarded.
