I running the latest Ubuntu and I am using the gnome desktop. I have a Thinkpad T60 and a Thinkpad T40. On the T40, the top of the screen shows the printer status, the battery strength, speaker volume etc. On the T60, it won't display any of those. It shows the date in the center, but no battery, speaker, or volume. Why would they be different? The T60 did display all of them until I upgraded Ubuntu to 12.04. The T40 was also upgraded, but the icons remained.
I want the T60 to show everything..same as the T40. Thanks!!!
