Lubuntu: After I bought an expensive gaming mouse, I need to adjust the mouse drag threshold, or the distance the mouse travels before a widget decides it's being dragged.

I would like to be able to click things again without dragging them.
TIA

Under Preferences in the menu there's an entry labeled, "Keyboard and Mouse" you can adjust sensitivity and acceleration of the mouse over there.

If you need more settings you'll probably have to install something new with more dependencies. (You can try XFCE's mouse settings though) Welcome to LXDE, I suppose.
