Could not get screen information "RAND extention is not present"

I get a pop up when I try to click on Display in my System Settings that says 'Could not get screen information' and 'RANDR extension is not present'. Only option is to close that dialog box.

I have a fresh copy of Latest Ubuntu.

Similar problem, but no real resolution yet.
