Ubuntu 10.04 will run out of support in 2013. so I want to know is there any way to get Gnome 2 installed in Ubuntu 12.04+

Best options would be to try gnome classic or mate AFAIK.

Use GNOME Classic. It's identical to GNOME 2 in 10.04.

sudo apt-get install gnome-panel
Then select GNOME Classic at login.

The other option many take is to install Gnome Shell (apt-get install gnome-shell) and then add extensions from http://extensions.gnome.org to recreate a "Gnome 2 like" environment.
