as the title suggests i want to rip some cds but i need a drive. can anyone reccomend one?

I guess any USB CD/DVD drive will do.

I would bet on that too, stuff like this usually dont need windows only drivers

Yea same here.. I would get one USB 3.0 compliant though for better performance if you make any upgrades this year.

Just get a cheap Rosewill external encloser and a ASUS DVD/CD burner and enjoy. Prob want be more then 40USD all together with shipping and tax.
