graphics driver uninstall and install

I need help to uninstall an Intel driver and install the original graphics driver in 11.10 so I can upgrade to 12.04

I installed it to try and get a game to play. Didn't help anyway. :(

open synaptic manager to purge that driver then install the genuine one from synaptic archive

sudo apt-get install synaptic
sudo synaptic
