Close minimize and maximize bar dissapears

The close minimize and maximize bar in ubuntu goes missing after sometime. I had this problem with 11.10 and so far with 12.04 I experienced it once. Any ideas? btw m switch to gnome classic after using unity for a while. Thought it might solved the problem.

Looking for answers as I too faced same errors while working on 11.10. Tried my level best my switching off all effects.

Are you using Lubuntu, as the prefix of your post says, or standard Ubuntu?
If vanilla Ubuntu, have you tried this (http://atutorialblog.com/move-window-buttons-right-side.htm)?
