Many people have different sleep needs, if you really want to know what they should be take a sleep test, from a specialist in this area.

I have sleep apnea, everyone should have sleep test to be sure of their health.

I have to be up at 7:15 am every weekday morning. It's now 01:18am, so probably about slightly less than 6 hours for me (and I still have beer to drink, before bed):guitar::guitar::guitar:

Who sleeps at night ? Everyone i know sleeps during the day ! The older we get the less sleep we need. Just a couple of 1 hour naps and ready to go.

I prefer about 6-8 at night, but the amount of interrupted sleep I get varies according to the day's activities and the size of my coffee intake the night before. I've even been known to have a nap during the day.

During term time for uni I sleep about 5 hours a night, which seems enough for me to function correctly.

If when I am off uni, or at weekends, I sleep from 3am to 10am, so about 7 hours I can never sleep before 2am as I am just not tired at that time of the day no matter what i have been doing.

@wilee-nilee, Whats a "Sleep test"?

Depending on my daughter and how she sleeps, usually get about 6 hours, broken up by about an hour in the middle when she wakes up in the night the last few weeks.

We have two toddlers so I get 4-6 hours of sleep on average. On a rare occasion I get 7, but I haven't slept longer than that in over 5 years. And yes, our oldest kid is 5 years old ironically :)

Sleep? There's plenty of time to sleep when you're dead! :shock:

But seriously, 4-6 for me.

I'm terrible for sleeping, I have slept for over 20 hours a few times, but the norm would be 9 hours usually.

Good effort!

I could do with 7 or 8, but seldom actually get that.
