Anyone noticed the past few updates shave freed up some system RAM? I was using little over 1GB of RAM with nothing open, not its been tamed down to just little over 500MB. Havent noticed if the system has speeded up since its never slow to me. But wondering if anyone else has noticed this.

Cheers,
Joe

I haven't really noticed anything, but I did check my precise box:

charles@Precise:~$ free -m

-/+ buffers/cache: 237 1766
Swap: 2045 0 2045

Looks like the devs made some effeciency improvements!

Let me take a line to thank the devs that made it possible! (You guys don't get thanked enough!)

Unity used to take really long to load up on my Jurassic machine, now it takes less time (about 50%). Wow.

So there are legitimate improvements?
