Hi I have a Malibal Lotus P150EM-SE laptop with a backlit keyboard. Currently the laptop defaults to blue when i turn the computer on. However if i put it to sleep and wake it up the keyboard is no longer illuminated and it takes a reboot to re-illuminate it.

I've searched all over the internet for solutions on reilluminating it or just general support for the backlit keyboard under Ubuntu. The keyboard is also supposed to be able to illuminate in other colors i think it's 8 other colors.

My question is, is there anyone who would be able to help me figure out getting it one to relight on wake up and would love to be able to see the other colors. I just don't know where to even start and figured someone here might be able to help.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thank you!

Yea actually real simple to get it back on just do fn and * on the number pad together and that will toggle the back light. The fn and - and fn and + also work on the number pad but you can't press and hold them.

Now all we need is the different colors and we're in business

While I was trying to figure out how to change the keyboard colors I stumbled across this. I managed to figure it out and so I thought I'd help you guys out haha. To change the keyboard backlit color just press "Fn" + the "/" on the number pad. A little thing pops up and it lets you select from a variety of color schemes. It even lets you create a custom one if you want to. Hope this helps :D
