I used yumi installer for my 11.10 ubuntu Oneiric for my 8 gig usb drive. When I try to upgrade my non pae system to the newer Precise, i run out of room, it does not install on a brand new install on the usb drive. Disk utility shows my drive as a 1.6 gig drive. Also in the utility it shows I am using a cdrom, 700 mb and 100% used in the /cow. Gparted shows more than 90% free space on the thumb drive. Unebootin was tried to no avail. Too bad yumi could not install it as a dvd instead of cd might help.
