Hello.

I use claws mail as a fast mail client. I have this program to be started in "autostart applications". But there is a little "aesthetic problem". I want it to be started and immediately sent to tray. When it starts, it is a normal window on the desktop.

This problem didn't occur, when I don't use autostart and start claws manually.

The plugin trayicon is installed and active. But every time, I restart gnome and claws is "autostarted", the window ist shown normally.

Any hints - please?

Regards
nightwing

maybe this:

"the Trayicon plugin should have a preference for doing what you want. In Claws, select: Configuration -> Preferences and then select the Trayicon settings from the list on the left. You should now be able to tick a checkbox for the option Hide at start-up"

but that was from 2009 ! maybe it will help you find a way?

Hi.

Thanks. I tried this first, but it doesn't work, when claws is in autostart...

in the auto start apps area, i keep thinking there must be a special addition for the command used to launch claws mail, but i do not know what that could be.
