Does anyone know if LibreOffice 3.5.4 will be pushed to 12.04 installs as 12.04 is an LTS version?

I have read that LibreOffice 3.5.4 is a much better release than the one shipped with 12.04.

Thanks in advance. Bob.

I can't say for sure, but if guessing, I would expect it to be included in one of the future point releases, .1, .2, etc... Maybe as early as 12.04.1 in July.

The updates that Update Manager offered me today (Jun 3) included LibreOffice 3.5.4.2.

BTW, I accepted that offer and now have LO 3.5.4.2 installed on my desktop.

Does it seem to load (etc) faster and what not?

Just checked for updates here in the western USA and none for LO were there. I am running V 3.5.32 of LO.

Do you have some ppa for LibreOffice? If 3.5.4 was available from the Ubuntu Software Center that would be pretty quick work. Plus there's the issue that not necessarily all updates of LibreOffice will be made available.

This site normally shows what's new:
http://www.ubuntuupdates.org/

Most probably this: http://www.ubuntuupdates.org/ppa/libreoffice?dist=precise

So if you want it right away, you'll have to add that ppa.
