A couple of days ago, after repartitioning, I reinstalled Ubuntu 10.04 on a Dell 9400 laptop. I've got something going on right now that seems like a malfunction - but, it might be some kind of FF settings or add-on problem.

My FF is now v12.0; a higher version than I had before the reinstallation. For add-on's, I've installed No Script, Ad Blocker Plus, Down Them All, Download Helper, & ImTranslator.

I installed Adobe flash via Synaptic.

Going to a YouTube page, I've been accustomed to finding 3 tabs above the vid. The 3rd tab would list how many vids the page's owner has posted, w/ an arrow to click & cause a string of thumbnails to be shown. This made it easy to follow a sequence of vids posted, in the proper order. But, for some reason, I'm not seeing that 3rd tab any more.

Extra info: I'm also losing the utility bar YouTube places across the bottom of the window - but, not all the time. I haven't quite pinned down yet when it does & does not show up.

I don't care very much about the utility bar, but does anybody have any ideas how I can fix this, and get that 3rd tab back?

TIA!

You mean like this;

this is on Firefox 13, so it is not likely to be a firefox problem. Something to do with how you access youtube I imagine.

Yes, that's what I was talking about. Trying the link you provided, I had the same result - no 3rd tab. I'm also losing the utility bar YouTube places across the bottom of the window.

It is possible that one of your add-ons is filtering the content. Disable them one after another and see if that cures the problem. Possibly no-script is the culprit.

When you reinstalled did you backup and restore your "Home" directory?

I don't know what the cause of the problem was, but eventually I closed FF. When I opened it back up again, the problem seemed solved.

So, I'm marking this thread "solved".

Thanks for you help.
