Hey all.
So obviously I am new to Linux/Ubuntu. I already have Windows 7 installed onto my computer, but was wanting something faster, so I decided on Ubuntu.
Anyway, I did the option where is says "Looking for an easy way to install on Windows?" So I was like what the hell, its worth a try. I go through all the setup stuff just fine. I go to reboot my computer I go into Ubuntu and I click the default option. It goes through a deal that took about 5 seconds saying "finishing installation" after it was done about 5 seconds later my monitor told me it was going to sleep. It did just that. I restarted my computer and tried the "safe graphics mode" or what ever it is. The same thing happened.
Also, this has happened to me before when I tried installing from a USB stick. I booted into it and it went through all the scripts and then my monitor went to sleep.

Any solutions/suggestions would be great!!
