I am currently on Windows Ultimate x64, and I used the Linux Live USB Creator to put the ubuntu ISO on my flash drive following instructions. When I restart my computer, it starts to load ubuntu, but it gets stuck with an error before even getting to the point where you select a language. The final line in the command prompt is EDD information not available. I found this thread http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1464751 but I'm not entirely sure how to do that when the OS isn't installed yet or anything. Any help is much appreciated, I am losing my mind on windows right now. Also, the error and some of the previous command line output is in the attached jpeg.

Have a look here: http://www.ubuntu.com/download/help/create-a-usb-stick-on-windows

And here: http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/

Two alternate methods.

Thanks for your quick reply. I'll edit this soon with results.

Using the first link you supplied I remade my usb drive. Second time I did it worked to the point where it got to the ubuntu prompt and I could make selections. Then I went to the link I posted, and edited the install ubuntu to a HD option with the parameters edd=on and nolapic and it worked. Currently resizing a partition before installing. Thank you sir.
