I am using gnome-panel, only just upgraded to 12.04 so not sure how much of an ongoing problem this will be.

On two occasions the menu option from items added to the task bar do not pop UP, it seems to pop DOWN as all options are completely hidden.

I do have my task bar on the bottom.

When it happened again I switched the task bar to the top then back again, this cured it.
