View Full Version : That one movie

What's that one movie you always find yourself watching when it's on TV? You know, you're never really looking for it, but it always seems to be on and you always end up watching it...

Mine is Predator and Forest Gump.

And, River Monsters on Animal Planet.

Definitely more than one. Off the top of my head:

Independence Day
Terminator 2
Back to the future\ {I,II,III}
Star Wars Episode\ {IV,V,VI}
Rambo First Blood
Class of 1999 (hardly on tv anymore, but I used to watch it everytime)
Probably any horror/sci-fi between 1903 (huge Georges Méliès fan) and 1986 (Aliens).

many, many more

June 1st, 2012, 03:52 PM
Terminator 2

Romancing the Stone
The Princess Bride
Any James Cameron movie

But if I had to choose just one, The Princess Bride.

Crikey, the missus has this on VHS and DVD. She could write the script word for bloody word.
Just remember "Nobody puts baby in the corner." :lolflag::lolflag:

High Plains Drifter. It's on often, and probably the weirdest western Eastwood ever made.

A few of the cable networks have Star Wars , Indiana Jones, and Harry Potter marathons every two months so it's never that one movie.

And, River Monsters on Animal Planet.

Haha.. I watch river monsters even when its a re-run. Jeremy Wade has the best job in the world. I went fishing today matter of fact on the Tom-Big-Bee water way. Didnt catch a single fish in 5 hours though.. But o well. A bad day of fishing is better then a good day at work.

Hah! Yea I would stop and watch that one.

Elwood: It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.
Jake: Hit it.

I don't watch a lot of TV nowadays, but I remember back when Billy Madison seemed to e on every Saturday night, and until recently, The Rocky Horror Picture Show was being shown at midnight every New Years Eve!

June 3rd, 2012, 06:27 PM
The Bourne movies...

Oh yes definitely!

The Breakfast Club. :D

And pretty much any Clint Eastwood western.

Watched the Breakfast club on TCM the other day I think.

Don't see the Eastwood ones on TV but I have a good collection of them though.

Almost any action film/thriller I've liked before. Except Segal and Van Damme and a couple of others.

And of course Some like it Hot.

June 3rd, 2012, 10:54 PM
Lord of the Rings (all parts)

Either they don't keep repeating movies on TV all the time, or I just don't watch enough TV to notice - but they tend to repeat Mean Girls all the time. If I'm watching the ABC they keep playing the episode of Keeping Up Appearances where Hyacinth decides to hold her "Candlelight supper with riperian entertainments". Or maybe she does that in every episode. :-)

I don't watch those anyway. The only one they play fairly often that I watch to completion is Ghost.

Coraline. I watched it on HBO 3 days straight. If it has a big famous company behind it then it will make hundred of millions. I'm looking forward to ParaNorman though.

Mine is "Untraceable" and "Torque" and "The Italian Job"!
