Well you have my support.

I have checked your site, and you tutorials and post. They are a wide range of topic about Linux and Ubuntu, and are clear, concise and very approachable.

From my experience you seem knowledgeable, patience and have a willingness to help. All traits the Ubuntu and the Ubuntu community can benefit from.

An absolutely unequivocal +1 from me, ruby laser is a very patient and highly motivated contributor to the forums.

I think he has a very good way of explaining complex things in a way that makes them understandable.

Keep up the good work!

I don't think I could have said it any better.

Your contributions to the Linux community go well beyond the Ubuntu forum.

After visiting your website I was extremely impressed.

An enthusiastic +1 from me.

A man who knows RAID, LVM, SMART and servers in general. The forums need people like you.

You get a +1 from me as well. Good luck in the application.

I've read rubylaser posts and he's clearly a knowledgeable Ubuntu user. As far as I can see, rubylaser is consistently offering support in more complex and technical threads. And he's encouraging users to learn, instead of simply throwing in the answers. I fully support this application.

Regards,
Effenberg

Hi, +1 from me also.

It looks like you still need to sign the Code of Conduct.
Good Luck

One thing I like about Rubylaser is that he wades into highly technical subjects -- ones that I think most people are confused by. Its good to have a voice on these topics (because there are not a lot actively participating in the forums at the current time).

Good luck on the application!

Thanks for the heads up :) I'll be there.

oops.
There was a typo - My mind was on CC (and was complaining to bodhi_zazen about the meeting time), while I was supposed to be typing the FC info - Fixed now.

Perhaps a few ](*,)](*,)](*,) will set my head on straight. (thanks for guys at #ubuntuforums for pointing this out)

Are you applying for membership via the forums or from the Ubuntu Memembership Board?

I see your name listed (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Membership/Boards#A22:00) there too.

This is a good question. I know that they're two separate things, but so many of the steps to be eligible for both are the same, I thought I would try to become a member of both. My long run goal is to be a member of both so, I'll let both parts run their course (unless you think there's something flawed with this logic).

Thanks :)

Definitely another +1 :KS from me. Ruby laser consistently helps us poor n00b's through our initial teething with patience and wisdom. No matter how many times we ask the same dumb question. ;)

I don't know if the correct way to support a membership is with a simple reply, but you have +1 from me too.

Very helpful member especially with mdadm raid which helped few people save their data when everything seemed lost. :)

But that it is not necessary for membership via forums, a post here serves the same purpose. But you can if you like :)

+1 from me.

I know im not a big name or anything here at ubuntuforums but Rubylaser took time out of his day to remote into my server and rebuilt my RAID, I offered to compensate him for his time and he respectfully declined. There are not to many people in this world that will willingly take time out of there busy schedules to help a complete stranger and do it for free at that. This man knows his stuff and is a great asset to ubuntu.

Thanks again RUBYLASER
