hi i have this error with ubuntu 12.04 LTS:

"The installer encountered and error copying files to the hard disk: [Errno 5] Input/output error.

This is often due to a faulty cd/dvd disk or drive, or a faulty hard disk.
...."

that time i tried to install it from the cd (not Live mode)
i tried to install it from a USB stick and i had the same problem
then i tried to install it from the iso using wubi.exe and still the same problem

i need some help :(

thank you in advance.

Were you using the same iso all this time? Maybe it's corrupted. Try downloading a new one. If it does not work either then maybe there's a problem with your hdd.

anonymous5, i just installed the previous version of ubuntu (11.10) that i was working on it before
i installed it from the same old cd without any problems.

i don't think that the iso is corrupted, i burned it on a cd after the download complete directly and when i tried to install it, the problem appeared

is there any other thing that i can try ?
