Hey, I was wondering how to stop the top panel in gnome shell from still displaying after the screen lock time, as my monitor only auto off's if the screen is fully black for a couple of seconds, so its a waste of power keeping my monitor on all day.
Anyone know how to do this?

Open screen brightness and lock and adjust the screen inactive time. My monitor goes to standby but doesn't completely shut off.

Yes, I have it set to do that, but the top bar just doesn't disappear, and for some reason my monitor keeps powered on.
