Alternative for Cheese programa

I am running Xubuntu for the first time and I like Xfce a lot.
One of my usual programs, Cheese, does not run at all under Xfce, at least in my case after testing various solutions.
Is there any program that rus well on Xfce that could be a good alternative to Cheese?
