I have a Steam community dedicated to all of us soldiers who have wrestled and tamed the tigers of running Steam games on your favourite Linux distros. Please feel free to join the group and share your Steam on Linux stories and the lot.
Ubuntu user here, just got TF2 working on my new i5 + Radeon machine with Wine running in Windows 95 mode with a certain workaround in the xorg.conf file. Max settings and running almost flawlessly(replays cannot be recorded and a few minor graphical glitches but perfectly playable).
