For whatever reason some of us may need or desire to change the forum theme. My intention is only to create a place where optional forum themes or tweaks can be shared with other forum users.

This thread is only for sharing our Ubuntu Forum theme variations and tweaks, not for approval or criticism of any specific official or unofficial forum theme.

Constructive suggestions regarding the official forum theme should be posted here:

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1977943

Actual Forum Theme bugs should be reported as described here:

http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=11936681&postcount=238

If the bug truly effects accessibility you should add the "a11y" tag to the bug report.

General complaints and whining belong here:

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1984188

In my particular case I found that using Stylish with Firefox provided a decent solution. Once I'd installed Stylish I simply navigated to Ubuntu Forums and clicked on the icon in the add-on bar and used "find styles":

218418

Then I selected what I wanted:

218419

That works for me :)

Please feel free to share your tweaks and tricks, but let's keep it civil.

I was already wondering why didn't someone start a similar thread already. :D

Recently posted a couple of themes here, actually created by my blog-mate Krytarik:

I like this, taking what we can offer officially and making it work individually.

Say kansasnoob, which version of Stylish did you use ? - :p

Well I eventually figured that out -

sikander3786, thanks for your post, I am trying out the light version now - I really need to be led by the hand with technical issues and your post was a great help - :p

I know you already edited, but I just used the Tools -> Add-ons button in Firefox to install Stylish. Nothing fancy at all ;)

I've so far done this in both Precise and Oneiric because I still use Oneiric for serious work (pending one Precise bug getting fixed).

I'm working on mine, I'm making one for every page, so I would have a complete theme. When I'm done I'll post it here

Any chance to get a sticky on this thread if it gets populated with good stuff?

I will follow it and recommend if it gets to that stage.

I'm not so sure about the colors of this one. (I don't like purple or orange.) I'm probably going to make it "scream" less. And it only works as intended in Opera at the moment since I haven't bothered with adding any -moz- or -webkit- gradients. :P

Also, since I rarely browse this forum in my virtual machines which I run ArchLinux and Ubuntu in, I changed the fonts to Verdana for my viewing in Windows (which is my main OS). I have the Ubuntu font installed in Windows (for Photoshop) and it just doesn't look good. :P

I'm also thinking about reducing the width of the whole forum a bit. It's a bit too wide on my 1920x1080 screen.
