I'm running the standard 12.04 unity, with the 295.40 Nvidia drivers. My laptop has GeForce 7900 GS graphic card. I also downloaded CCSM (and clicked through all the warnings about borking the system). However I'm a long time user of CCSM and know what I'm doing. I setup a pretty mild configuration: 2x2 wall, wiggly windows, scale, expo, that's it.

Anyway, check out the graphics corruption problem that I'm having in the pic below. This problem affects all programs running, firefox, chrome, libreoffice, the side dock, the lens, everything. I tried searching for other threads about this problem, but I don't even know how to describe this.

Maybe you should try the latest stable driver:

harumph. Well it seems like it so far (~2hours) that the 295.53 drivers have fixed the issue. I will mark this Solved after a while I'm convinced for sure this problems is fixed. Thanks!

Ok, I'm currently sufficiently satisfied that the 295.53 drivers fixed all the funkiness that was going on with the 290 drivers. I'm marking this as solved!
