Terminal Error When Trying to Install Gimp

Hi

I have this error when I tried to install gimp...

I'm a bit thick so if you know how to fix it please let me know and explain it as simply as you possibly can, don't use abbreviations and please be nice!!!

In Ubuntu Linux, you cannot install applications without giving your password.
You should give:


sudo apt-get install gimp

then type in your password (nothing will be shown, not even asterisks (*))
and hit enter.

An easier way would be to use the Ubuntu Software Center :)
