View Full Version : [ubuntu] 10.04-12.04 upgrade not found.

Currently Running 10.04. Update manager shows system is up to date.
Ran the following commands and it still wont see 12.04.


$ sudo update-manager -c
---No update found.


$ sudo apt-get upgrade

Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.




$ do-release-upgrade
Checking for a new ubuntu release
No new release found



sudo apt-get update
-No Problems found.

In synaptic>updates at the bottom of the page you can choose between normal and LTS upgrades.Select LTS and then refresh.Now you should see mwessage that new ubuntu release is available for upgrade.

Since you are running the previous LTS, the new one becomes available after the first .1 is released. Due in July.

Update Manager will offer upgrade to 12.04.1 in July.

If you don't want to wait, you can do it with:
sudo update-manager -d

Just an FYI I bit the bullet an just downloaded 12.04 Ran ann upgrade Via CD. Luckily I have my /home on a seperate disk.
