11:10 ; new install on new hard drive ; COMPIZ not working at all ; CCSM settings do nothing ; run "compiz --replace ccp &" and only get wobbly windows and cube rotation ( settings ), window decorations go away and terminal windows just shows warnings; cannot change unity left panel at all ( location, size of icons ); This same desktop with nVidia 8300 / 295.20 using 10.10 w/COMPIZ, on separate hard drive, works like a charm and fully uses all of the COMPIZ features. I have reinstalled from scratch multiple times trying different googled suggestions but the same things happen. Fusion-Icon does nothing. Blacklisted(.conf) nouveau but that did nothing either. I would not like to just use GNOME SHELL but that is looking like my only alternative.
