On a standard Ubuntu disc the installer is on the desktop, have you throughly looked through the menu to see if there is one there.

The install may be from the boot of the disc, tap the shift key when powering on to see if a gui comes up that has a install option. Might be another key since this appears to be a custom disc.

No manual with the computer, or can you call the manufacturer.?

You can get a standard install from here.

http://www.ubuntu.com/

You can boot to a live desktop as well with this and will see the install icon on the desktop.
