Hi,

I have a question how do I change the taskbar at the bottom of the screen in Kubuntu 12.04?4

Its too dark for my mother to read is there a way to make it lighter? Ive tried playing with the window Colors.. does NOT change the bar at the bottom..

Please Advise,

Christopher

System Settings > Workspace Appearance > Desktop Theme.

You can do finetuning with the details tab if needed. :)

What do you mean with too dark exactly? The text color? Then I agree, on top of darker wallpapers the black text is barely readable. You could try to change the desktop theme to Oxygen. Then you get a black panel with white letters. Personally I prefer the darker panels like Oygen, Androbit or Caledonia (the latter can be added through "Get New Themes").
